What counts

| AI agent checks | MCP tool call, and install command checked by the Claude Code plugin, Cursor or Gemini CLI |
Counters reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). The dashboard's Integrations page shows the current month's usage.
When a limit is reached

| CI runs | The Action and GitLab job fail with the reason; the GitHub App reports a neutral check, which doesn't block merges |
| AI agent checks | Installs are no longer checked and are not blocked; check_package returns an error saying so |
Private repositories
The Free plan scans public repositories. dagsec confirms a repository is public through the CI's signed identity token (GitHub Actions, gitlab.com) or the GitHub App; self-reported repositories need a paid plan.
